Online Hunter Course a Convenient Option

While we here at ONfirearmsafety.ca are firm fans of in-person training, many people seeking a Hunter Education Course in Ontario are in underserved communities or have time constraints that do not always coincide with instructor availability. For that reason, Ontario has offered an online version of their OHEC hunter education course since 2020.

The Official Online course is operated by HUNTERcourse.com, a website that offers hunter education for many jurisdictions across Canada and the U.S. HUNTERcourse.com is owned by Fresh Air Educators Inc., who also operate boater, snowmobile and drone training websites and are headquartered in Ottawa, Canada.

The advantage of the online hunter course is that you can complete it at your own pace. Once you complete it, you can simply download and take your certificate of completion to any participating ServiceOntario office and obtain your temporary hunter licence that same day. The Outdoors Card will be mailed to you later.
