ONfirearmsafety is the CFSC/CRFSC training brand for Wellesley Consulting Services Inc, a federally incorporated business. We formerly operated under the brand GTAGunSafety.com and have now relocated our main office to Dundas, Ontario. We continue to run our training courses across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) as well as the Hamilton, Niagara, Brant, Haldimand, Durham and Peel regions.
We have been delivering firearms safety courses across Ontario since 2007, and have served thousands of students of all backgrounds and interests.
What We Offer
We do not issue Firearm Licences (PAL or RPAL). The licence is issued by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Canadian Firearms Program. We are an authorized and certified provider of the CFSC/CRFSC courses and exams required to obtain a PAL or RPAL.

We deliver the Canadian Firearm Safety Course (CFSC) and Canadian Restricted Firearm Safety Course (CRFSC). These are the courses that are mandatory for most persons who apply for a individual Firearm Licence (called a PAL, or “Possession and Acquisition Licence”) in Canada. For those who seek a restricted class PAL, these are sometimes referred to as an “RPAL”.
These courses are delivered in-person in a classroom setting, through a combination of lectures, class participation, practical handling demonstrations and exercises, and culminating in a written and practical examination. The classes are supplemented with an instructor-led presentation and through a student textbook (which we will provide).
At the conclusion of the course(s), you will receive a course report document. Providing that you have passed the examinations, this course report document will be proof that you meet the requirements of subsection 7(1) – and/or subsection 7(2) – of the Firearms Act.
We offer continuing support to our customers following these courses, if you have questions about firearms safety or want to know where to purchase firearms, join a gun club, seek employment requiring a firearms licence, want to take firearms related or hunter safety training, or just have general questions about firearms, we will do our best to assist you.
Affiliations
Our instructors are affiliated with the Firearm Safety Education Service of Ontario (FSESO), which has functional, day-to-day governance of the delivery of CFSC and CRFSC courses across Ontario in accordance with its memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of the Solicitor General and the Chief Firearms Officer (CFO).
While the CFO designates individual instructors, the FSESO establishes policies and procedures for those instructors, training standards, a code of conduct, and manages the supply and processing of course reports and exams. All designated CFSC/CRFSC instructors in Ontario are members of the FSESO and subject to its policies. In addition, ONfirearmsafety is a Business member of the Canadian Coalition for Firearms Rights (CCFR), a firearms advocacy organization. It promotes the safe and legal use of firearms in Canada and provides liability insurance to individual owners and to gun clubs across Canada.
