COURSE REGISTRATION POLICY

Only customers who have an “Approved” registration status will be admitted to courses. If we receive only a partial payment, or a registration remains unpaid or “Pending Payment” as of the start date & time, customers may not be admitted to the course.

PAYMENT METHODS

We accept major credit cards through our secure Stripe payment processing service, including American Express, Visa (including Interac Visa Debit), Discover, Diners, UnionPay, JCB and Mastercard.  In addition, you may be able to use Apple Pay and Google Pay.

We no longer accept PayPal or Interac e-Transfer payments.

For private and corporate groups, we can invoice using our secure Square invoice and payment service, and accept other forms of payment. Contact (email) for further information.

CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS, RESCHEDULING

We have one of the most generous cancellation policies among firearms safety course providers. Up to 48 hours before a registered course, we will offer a full refund or reschedule you to a later course, without penalty. You must notify us via our online cancellation form, or via email at (email).

Within the 48 hour period, we reserve the right to subject cancellations to a $50 administrative charge. This is to cover our facility and instructor costs. However, cancellations for cause (illness, personal emergency, compassionate reasons, etc.) we usually will still waive the administrative charge. We will reschedule customers without penalty within the 48 hour period, however for repeated late rescheduling requests, we reserve the right to charge the $50 administrative fee, or an amount up to the full amount of the registration.

If you fail to attend a course without advance notification, we reserve the right to cancel your registration without refund.

On rare occasions, we are required to cancel a scheduled course due to circumstances beyond our control, including a force majeure, instructor illness, unavailability of the venue, or other reasons. We will make efforts to secure an alternative venue or instructor, and/or alternative dates. We may offer a full refund, or offer to relocate or reschedule the course. We will try to give you as much notice as possible should this occur. We are not responsible for any additional charges incurred as a result of a cancellation, such as (but not limited to) transportation or accommodation, meals, child care, or pet care costs.

In all cases of refunds, whether requested by the customer, or offered by us, please allow up to 30 days for the refund to be completed. Stripe refunds must be manually keyed and verified. Refunds can only be sent to the original payment method used in the registration. Once keyed, the refund may take 5-10 days to appear on your statement.

In all cases of rescheduling of registrations, these are subject to availability. We will try to load you onto the next available course, or the course of your choosing. Members of a group registration can request to be rescheduled separately from other members of the group. If no suitable dates are available, we can retain a credit and hold your registration until a suitable date becomes available. If no suitable dates become available, we will cancel the registration and your our our discretion and refund your payment in accordance with the above paragraph once the original registered course date has passed.

SPECIAL POLICY ON COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Since March of 2020, like many businesses, we have experienced business disruptions as a result of government imposed lockdowns, mask and vaccine requirements limiting access, and other public health and safety measures.

In cases where a cancellation, refund request, or rescheduling request results from or is caused by a COVID-19 or other public health pandemic measure, we reserve the right to extend our refund period to 60 days or more, and take such other measures or actions we deem necessary for business reasons. We will inform registered customers of what measures we are taking and why, and when to expect further information, to the best of our ability.

If you feel ill or test positive for COVID or any other communicable illness, we ask that you notify us at once and do not attend your registered course. We are very flexible in our policy on administrative charges for late cancellations and in these cases we normally waive any charges.
